Arktek was hired by Dominion Development Company in Charlottesville to draw the plans for Lot 1 in the Proffit Ridge subdivision of Albemarle County in late 2008 and early 2009. Dominion Development is a builder of fine custom homes in the Charlottesville Virginia area with an emphasis on personal attention to detail and the needs of its customers. This plan was developed by starting with a book plan and collaborating with another architect and the builder to arrive at the preliminary design. Arktek then finalized the design with the builder's input and produced a set of CAD construction drawings including sections and details. This home won several 2009 Charlottesville Parade of Homes awards including best overall.
